Reflection

At MOPS this morning I was reminded that we are constantly on a journey where God is refining us and making us more like Himself. Throughout the past year of my life, I have felt as if this is a different type of refining...more of a "life role refinement" rather than a "situational refinement". I have struggled (but enjoyed) trying to "fit into" this mom role and determine what that means for ME. As I was finishing up Marissa's scrapbook/baby book for her first year I was adding verses that have been an encouragment. It was so great to look through all that I have learned spiritually and relfect on the truths God has taught our family. Here are just a few verses that have encouraged me and hope they help you through a "refinement" in your life.

"But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ's gift."Ephesians 4:7

"Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see deliverance the Lord will bring you today...The Lord will fight for you: you need only to be still."Exodus 14:13-14

"Let no corupt word come out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary diefication, that it may impart grace to the hearers."Ephesians 4:29

"Let us come boldy to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need."Hebrews 4:16

"...as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to the life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust." 2 Peter 1:4-3
